COVID-19 Concerns
The World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have declared SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) an airborne event requiring facemasks. An infected person inside a building will cause the viral load to increase until that person leaves the building or proper mitigation solutions have been employed by the facility. As experts in the indoor air quality and filtration market, we seek to advise our customers of their best available course of action to filter the air based on restrictions within their existing building envelopes and HVAC systems.
The recommendations on this page are based on documents released by cognizant authorities and offer advanced precautions to prepare a facility and its HVAC system for COVID-19 mitigation and are solutions common to all indoor occupied spaces. Each source is referenced in the recommendation and the source document can be provided upon request.
Please keep in mind that every facility is unique and should be understood in detail in order to provide the best solutions and applications. The employment of a combination of recommendations is best, however, even one solution will reduce airborne virus aerosols and particles.
