Available efficiencies include 95% or 99.99% when evaluated on particles 0.3 microns and 99.9995% when evaluated on most penetrating particle size (MPPS). Each filter is tested using Camfil’s exclusive AUTO-SCAN™ automated leak detection system.
Maintains Excellent Mechanical Properties
The Megalam Terminal Diffuser features a filter pack that is encapsulated on all four sides using Camfil’s CamPure™ polyurethane sealant. CamPure is thermally/chemically stable to ensure minimal out-gassing and maintains excellent mechanical properties ensuring high-purity air for the most demanding environments over the life of the filter.
Lower Pressure Drop
The Megalam Terminal Diffuser has a media configuration that is optimized through Controlled Media Spacing (CMS™), resulting in a lower pressure drop than other media pleating techniques. Continuous glass filament separators, encapsulated in a stabilizing adhesive, promote uniform airflow while eliminating media to media contact and fiber break-off associated with other media pleating techniques.

The e-PTFE filter incorporates a durable ULPA grade polytetrafluoroethylene media. The media offers high tensile strength and is resistant to damage during shipping, handling, installation, and application. The media is also chemically-resistant, hydrophobic, and will not shed. Media pack depths of 1.77” (45 mm) and 2.67” (68 mm) are available to fit a wide variety of airflow requirements.
Exclusive Camfil Closepleat Technology
Camfil e-PTFE media is formed into uniform pleats using Camfil’s patented Closepleat™ manufacturing technology. The media area is optimized for maximum airflow, minimizing media configuration losses. The pleating process is performed in Camfil Class 10,000 (ISO 7) cleanroom to ensure the purity of the filter, reducing the start-up time required to reach room cleanliness level.
Low Out-Gassing
Camfil’s e-PTFE filters are boron and phosphorus-free and do not include any other dopants in the materials of construction. These properties are especially important in applications where out-gassing has the potential for reducing process yields, such as in semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
Sturdy Aluminum Frame
The Camfil e-PTFE filter incorporates a heavy-duty, extruded anodized aluminum frame to form a rugged and durable filter. Camfil includes a polyurethane gasket on standard models to ensure a leak-free seal. The media pack is sealed within the frame using CamPure ultra-low out-gassing polyurethane sealant. Additional configuration options, including knife-edge and gel seal, are available.
